what is a soul-story tattoo?

a soul-story tattoo is an intuitive process of deep listening. we ask your guides, guardians, and ancestors for insight as to what medicine is needed for your journey at this time. we translate these messages and guidance into a unique tattoo, specific to your spirit.

there are countless blessings we receive by marking our prayers directly on our body:

• our body is intrinsically linked to our lineage and to all of those before us — so when we receive the medicine of a marking, all our ancestors also receive this medicine through the shared bridge of our body

• a marking serves as a physical reminder of prayers and soul contracts we hold, linking the spiritual and the physical

• we come back home to our body and celebrate our sovereignty

• we return to rites of passage and ancestral technology that has been practiced for thousands of years

• we open up pathways of communications with Creator and wise and well ancestors

what is the process?

🌀it is a multi-day process.

first, we meet for a 2 hour reiki ceremony (can be completed virtually or on the land). we ask your guides, guardians and lineage what medicine is needed for this season of your life. depending person to person, this ritual typically involves meditation, dream journeying, sound medicine, and more.

at the end of this ceremony, we weave both of our experiences into a mosaic of understanding - translating the messages into symbols, shapes, and motifs for a tattoo design unique to you.

🌀then, we pause for 1 -3+ weeks for integration.

perhaps the ancestors have asked us to complete rituals, initiate necessary family conversations, or commune with certain elements? I find it nourishing to move slowly — allowing our spirits and bodies to prepare for the tattoo. it is important to make space for Heart listening and clarify our intentions before we mark them in blood

🌀finally, we meet to complete the tattoo.

by this point, you will have already seen the channeled design and had the opportunity to make any minor shifts/changes.

on the day of, we greet the land together. we create an altar and hold opening ceremony. then flow into handpoking (with lots of stretching and snack breaks!) and complete the marking. we close out the circle with gratitude and bless the marking with smoke and song.

energetic / financial exchange

the total exchange for this offering is $900. here is a pricing breakdown:

2 hour reiki ceremony - $200

drawing time / revisions - $100

3 hours of handpoking ($200 / hr) - $600

I am open to modifications to this structure. for instance, if you’d like a smaller tattoo with only 2 hours of handpoking, or if you’d like a larger tattoo more than 3 hours of handpoking, we can adjust the pricing as needed.
